Voltage Cycles
In this design study of e-bike retailer Voltage Cycles I focused on clean layouts with engaging visuals. As e-bike technology continues to improve, the marketplace is energized by innovation. I wanted to mimic this lively buzz in the advertising assets by using a lightning bolt and additional electrifying elements to pull the attention of the reader. The rest of the composition is left clean to provide contrast, and mirror the conditions the Voltage Cycles research facility.

Cyan encourages peaceful behaviors and calmness, while yellow provides an uplifting and illuminating vibe. These contrasting emotions mirror the dichotomy of free-riding, where there is a meditative calm during the ride to the top of the trail before the exhilarating decent of downhill mountain biking.

Yellow also suggests original thought and inquisitiveness, both desirable traits for a company aiming to spearhead the e-bike movement.

When e-bikes were first introduced, they were heavy, clumsy, and usually more hassle than they were worth. The goal of this campaign is to shake those dated connotations of the e-bike industry. The 3D design elements are showing a breakthrough in e-bike technology, and these lively graphics suggest that a new generation of e-bikes are now here.
